IVI Solution
Rapidise’s IVI Solution is a unified domain-controller platform built on the NXP i.MX8QuadMax processor, featuring dual Arm Cortex-A72 and quad Cortex-A53 cores with dual Vivante GC7000 GPUs. The platform consolidates the digital instrument cluster, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), and optional head-up display (HUD) onto a single automotive SoC, replacing multiple ECUs with a unified, high-performance solution. Independent display controllers simultaneously drive the digital cluster and infotainment displays, while hypervisor-based virtualization ensures secure isolation between the ASIL-B instrument cluster partition and the Quality Managed (QM) infotainment partition. Leveraging the SoC’s hardware-assisted virtualization capabilities, the platform enables functional safety, secure resource separation, and reliable multi-display operation. Validated on a working multi-display prototype, the solution is designed for OEMs building next-generation software-defined vehicles.
